In 2012, I saw 517,709 views, with 109,578 minutes watched. Over the life of my You Tube account I have had over 11 million views and 3900 subscribers. In 2012, most days the videos got around 1000-1500 views a day. A couple of exceptions.

My Top 10 Videos for 2012. The most popular video was my video with the most views. Essex's 1043 wheel horsepower Nissan Skyline GT-R on the dyno. With 1.6 million views, its my most popular view by far. About two times as popular as my next most popular video. The top two videos are R33 Skyline GT-R's, with an R32 being the third and fourth most popular of all time. I have 22 videos with over 100,000 views, but overall 2012 was pretty down. Probably not enough good original content.
Discovery. Interesting to see how much traffic comes from mobile these days. 33%. Still more than half on the You Tube watch page.
In 2012 I uploaded 42 videos, or actually a few more but some are hidden for some other projects I was working on. The videos ranged from the Sun Rising at Willow Springs with the Scion tC, to the Nismo R32 GT-R. Over the year I had some old videos of 1/8th mile drag racing at Irwindale, to some wheel videos, karting, Long Beach Grand Prix, Scion FR-S, SEMA, and then the Show or Display R32. I should probably try and work on keywords/tags, descriptions, and titles to improve some of the video discovery. I just read a post on JohnChow.com about fine tuning some of these points, so I have to go though and see if that can improve views for 2013.
My newest video is of the Show or Display Nismo R32 Skyline GT-R. Just a quick driving video. 278 views in 4 days. Not a great number for how many subscribers I have. The video itself is a little weak in the sound department. I used a Contour HD on a headband strap. The volume was turned down a little because I normally use it on race cars, and the windnoise gets a little crazy.
So onto 2013. I need to use You Tube a little more for the business side, exporting, importing, wheels, and Skyline GT-R's. 25 Year old cars, and RB26 information and tech should be some focuses. I would like to see another 500 subscribers, or just more than 1 a day. Video views for the year- 750,000 is a good aim. I may give a few You Tube tools a try, and see how they work out for me.
