A preview of the "Holy Cornholio" episode. I have always liked Beavis and Butthead. One of my favorite cartoons for sometime. The first time I saw Cornholio, I just about choked on my drink. Recently have been a little slow and lazy at uploading videos. The Samsung camera, Corel Videostudio Pro don't always want to play nice. The programs to convert the Samsung files crashes constantly. Then Videostudio crashes constantly. On the new desktop, they seem to work out ok. Will have to move some files over, and make some new videos.

Do you know what a 1977 Ford Mustang looks like. When I saw the title, I will be honest, I couldn’t really think of what one looks like. Over the last few years, I shipped a lot of 64-70 Mustangs to Australia. Way back when, I worked on a RB26 powered Mustang that was in Fast and Furious 3.

Speeding Up a Blogger Blog

My 2009gtr.com blog has been a bit slow to load. I have a complicated magazine style template from Simplex Blogger, and it takes a little longer than I like to load. While I had some time, I decided to look up ways to speed up the blog.

One of the first sites I came up with, had some great tips.

There were a couple of tools that you could download as attachments to Firefox to analyze your site. These two tools are Firebug and YSlow.

I installed the programs, and ran them on my site, and they gave me a few tips to try and improve page loading speed. My first impression is that the pages do seem to load a bit quicker. At least the main part of the page shows up fairly quickly, then some of the other scripts load a little slower.

At first the grade was an F. After running some of the changes recommended I got it to a D . "Overall performance score 66". Now I am going to try a few more of the recommendations, and see if I can get the page to load quicker.

First 9 Second R35 GT-R : AMS

AMS has smashed the 9 second barrier at TX2K10. The best pass was a 9.89@145mph with a best mph of 146.98 mph. Congratulations goes out to the crew at AMS for reaching this barrier in the R35 GT-R world.

The economy effects everything, even used wheel sales. We are seeing pretty steady traffic, and it has picked up the last week with several Craigslist ads being posted. Just simple one line ads have driven a decent amount of traffic.

I started up an Adgitize ad for $14 a month for 2009gtr.com. I also did a lot of interacting with Adgitize and Entrecard sites. Commenting, and posting. A redesign of the site to a magazine style template from Bloggertricks.com. I did both RB Motorsports Blog, and 2009gtr.com. I like the setup. I think its a good setup for both of these sites.

I am going to change the style of a couple of my other blogs, but I can't decide what I am going to do right now.

Mostly now I am also using Windows Live Blogger, even though actually, this post I am using the Blogger Dashboard. I like the Windows Live Blogger,as it makes it easier for me to cross post, and control the layout of the blog posts. I have some issues from within Blogger at controlling tables and the like.

Citroën GT Priced at $1.8 Million, Six to be Produced

Polyphony Digital’s Citroën GT is set to become one of the most expensive “production cars” (if you can really call it that…) sold today, coming in at £1.1 million pounds or approximately $1.8 million U.S. dollars. AutoCar got the scoop from “senior inside sources”, who revealed that only six of the cars will be made - all of which will be powered by either a “Ford or GM V8″. That’s considerably less than the 20 production models that were hinted at before, but according to AutoCar, “most of the concept’s features should make the final production version, including the carbon-fibre construction and eccentric interior details such as the copper trim.” Sweet! The final production version of the car is expected to be launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show this September.

It was just a movie, but it goes to show what happens when the LCD reproduces.

Desmond Hatchett, 29 has children range in age from newborn to 11. There are at least 11 mothers; probably several more. Had 4 kids in 1 year, twice!!! The mothers of Hatchett's children are supposed to get anywhere from $25 to $309 a month, but when his paycheck is garnished amongst them all, some women only get a $1.98 a month.
Rumor has it that 2 minors are pregnant right now by him, and many of the mothers are high-schoolers!!!! He is also on the way to prison for probation violation.

Fast and Furious Box Office Results

I have been involved in all four Fast and Furious movies in some form. Big Bird- the R33 GT-R in the first movie, I took over to Universal for the audition. Blackbird was sold to Craig Lieberman, and became a main car for the second movie . In the third movie, I did a little work on a few of the cars , the main car I worked on was the RB26 powered Mustang. The last movie , I was around a little in the beginning. I introduced the Kaizo guys to the picture car guys. I did a little bit of technical advising for the insert unit. A little bit of hands and feet.

Its always interesting to listen to people talk condescendingly about the movies. They are not perfect by any means, and in fact there are glaring errors in all the movies , but they are not documentaries. No one really wants to watch documenatries. There are plenty of them. Plenty of real racing movies, plenty of real racing videos, but the general audience wants to watch action, and adventure. Based in reality but not real.

I was checking out some of the box office results for the latest movie. Domestic Total as of May. 17, 2009: $152,908,000 (Estimate). Production Budget: $85 million . So it cost them $85 million and it made $152 million. Not bad. But wait, there's more , Domestic: $152,908,000 + Foreign: $170,797,184
= Worldwide: $323,705,184 .

For "Car Racing" movies, it ranks second to Cars. All of the Fast and Furious movies are in the top 10 of the "Car Racing" movies. So when people ask "why are they still making Fast and Furious movies?" there's your answer. They make dollars, so they make sense.
